You Know You’re a Runner When…

November 7, 2010

…you find yourself watching the end of the NYC Marathon on television.  It’s amazing to watch the elite runners running so fast over 2 hours when I can’t maintain their speed over 100 metres. I wish tv would cover some of the penguins in the back for us sympathizing slow pokes.

i was keeping up with runner world’s twitter constant updates.. it was exciting, first time i’ve actually cared about elite running… really makes you want to go for a run! and i laughed so hard (a “i’m pathetic sort of laugh”) when they referred to the women as “jogging at 6:30 pace” during the first mile or two.

I missed the beginning of the coverage. I tuned in about 15 minutes before the women finished. “Jogging at a 6:30 pace” – that’s priceless. I literally laughed out loud to read that.
