Honouring a Life and Saying Goodbye

May 11, 2011

I am in England for a memorial. My grandfather passed away Thanksgiving 2009 peacefully in his home surrounded by his children. Today his loved ones gathered to say goodbye the McCluskey way; through a scattering of his ashes in a forest of bluebells where his wife’s ashes were scattered only 5 years ago. Poems were read and stories were told. About 2 dozen loved ones toasted in the woods to Ken and celebrated his life.
