Fall Hiking in Killarney Provincial Park

October 2, 2011

It’s fall in Northern Ontario. There is a canvas of fall colours sweeping the land. Along the Granite Ridge Trail in Killarney Provincial Park, not so much. The drive to the park was beautiful – yellows, browns, reds, oranges – lining the roadside. The trail itself was very green. Pine trees everywhere. Regardless it was a lovely weekend hike with my husband. The trail took about an hour and a half. There was some elevation but it wasn’t too hard. And it had some great views of the lake. Plus we saw a baby black bear cross the road on the way back.
